By using VetClaim you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
VetClaim is an independent calculator and record-keeper for VA disability claims. It works out your combined rating from the rules published in 38 CFR Part 4, estimates the monthly payment from the published compensation tables, tracks deadlines, and shows you the arithmetic behind every figure with the regulation it comes from.
VetClaim is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any other government agency. It is not a government application. Nothing in it is an official determination of anything.
VetClaim cannot:
Only a VA-accredited attorney, claims agent, or representative of a recognised veterans service organisation may represent a veteran before VA for a fee (38 CFR 14.629). VetClaim is a tool you use yourself.
Every number the app shows is calculated from published rules applied to information you enter. Its accuracy depends on both.
Your VA award letter is the authoritative record of your rating and payment. Where the app and your award letter disagree, the award letter is correct and the app is not.
We show the working precisely so you can check it rather than trust it. If a figure looks wrong, read the steps and the citations, and take them to a Veterans Service Officer. VSO assistance is free.
VetClaim provides information, not advice. It does not create an attorney-client relationship, a doctor-patient relationship, or a fiduciary relationship. Decisions about your claim, your health, or your finances should be made with a qualified professional — for VA claims, an accredited representative.
Your information stays on your device. See Privacy Policy for the detail.
Because the app has no servers, we hold no backup of your data. If you lose your device, delete the app, or use the delete-everything function, the information is gone and we cannot recover it for you. Export a summary and keep it somewhere safe if that matters to you.
Use VetClaim for your own claim, or to help someone with theirs. Do not use it to impersonate VA or any government body, to charge someone for representation you are not accredited to provide, or to present its output as an official determination.
VetClaim is provided as-is. We may update, change, or discontinue it. Features present today may change in a future version.
Features that are free at the time you install the app will remain free to you. If paid features are introduced later, existing free functionality will not be moved behind a paywall for people who already had it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VetClaim is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of VetClaim are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of benefits, compensation, or opportunity, arising out of your use of the app — including any decision you make, or do not make, about a VA claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
